Jewish religion

The Holocaust and emigration in the second half of the 20th century diminished once numerous Jewish population of Krakow to a few hundred nowadays. Out of the city's seven synagogues the one that currently serves for religious gatherings on the Sabbath and/or Jewish holidays is Kupa Synagogue at 27 Miodowa street. 

Islam in Krakow 

There is a tiny, mostly immigrant Muslim community in Krakow. The city lacks a mosque so its Muslims gather for Friday prayer in the building of the Studium Jezyka Polskiego of the Politechnika Krakowska University of Technology, 1 Skarzynskiego street, from noon to 2 p.m.

Wawel Cathedral
Poland's impressive national shrine dates from the 14th century and shelters plenty of superb church art. The Sigismund Chapel is a masterpiece of the Renaissance art and architecture. Giant Zygmunt bell of 1520 ranks with the world's largest. Most Polish kings are buried here together with the greatest national heroes.

Immense Gothic church, the city of Krakow's principal temple since the 13th century, boasts the world's greatest Gothic sculpture among its many excellent works of art. Huge stained-glass widows of the chancel date from the 14th century.
