When Bill Pickett invented bulldogging, the technique he used to bring a bull down involved biting the beast’s lip. No kidding. Bill’s technique didn’t end with him, as can be clearly seen in this photo from the Miles City Rodeo in the late 1910’s. It’s the plainest image of this kind we’ve seen.
