In the late 1800’s and early 1900’s, cowboy bands were nearly as popular as cowboys and Indians – and an essential element in the spectacles that were the Wild West Shows. This photograph of Col. Frederick Cummins’ troupe of musicians was taken in England, during the show’s 1908 tour of the British Isles.
