Lynn Bogue Hunt was one of the most notable outdoors and game artists of the 20th Century, and he remains one of the most popular among collectors and outdoorsmen today. His art was featured on literally hundreds of “Outdoor Life” & “Sports Afield” magazine covers as well as on nearly as many advertisements for Remington, DuPont and other manufacturers.
This poster, originally published in 1923, is among the hardest-to-find of Hunt’s prints and posters – and virtually impossible to obtain in this state. Each of the game birds and animals are numbered and identified in the lower panel, making the point that whatever the object of one’s hunt, Remington made the appropriate shot.
We have lovingly restored it to its vividly-colorful glory…but to retain a subtle aura of authenticity in our reproduction, we’ve left some light spotting in the border and margins and a few almost imperceptible imperfections.
Only 250 individually numbered copies of this beautiful piece will be produced.
