Mabel was one of the most talented and charismatic of Rodeo’s Golden Age cowgirls. A trick-rider, roper, bronc rider and racer deluxe, she also saddled thoroughbreds for Washington State’s pioneer breeder and trainer, George Drumheller. Here she celebrates her calf-roping run at Pendleton in the early 1920’s.
