This is a view from the “new” Hance’s Trail…back in 1901. We chose it because, rather than the sweeping views widely reproduced from famous overlooks, this one is only familiar to those with a more intimate relationship with the Canyon.
We began with remarkable turn-of-the-20th Century images we’ve uncovered over the years – produced from early photographs but artful in a way modern photography cannot duplicate. They take us back to a time when the parks were still young. We’ve taken painstaking care to enhance them without spoiling the qualities that make them unique, and added the subtle, minimalist titles as whispers not shouts. And finally, we’ve shaped them to cohabitate gracefully as a pair or set of three.
Our 18” x 30” versions are most elegant, to our eyes, but we’re also making them available in the more standard 18” x 24” size. Only 250 of each art print will be produced and, like all our custom prints, they are produced using the highest standards of reproduction technology and fine archival paper. We ship them to you carefully rolled in a protective poly sleeve and heavy-duty mailing tube.
