211 - Borein “Switchin’ Ends” - [16” x 22” Custom Art Print] $425.00

Few people even know this Borein work exists. It was commissioned by famous rodeo impresario, Guy Weadick, who founded the Calgary Stampede, to highlight the advertising for his Sheepshead Bay Stampede near New York City in 1916. You may have seen some of the artist’s India ink sketches made for this event in the Harold G. Davidson book on Borein’s art. The original was painted in oils – a medium the artist abandoned not long after.

We are reproducing the image on artists’ canvas, using the same technology museums and noted photographers employ to create the finest reproductions of their works – with archival pigment-based inks that have been laboratory-tested to retain their vivid, yet subtle colors for over 100 years.

But we are only reproducing 50 - hand-numbered and specially embossed on the margin to assure their authenticity. And at this price, they will not last long.

SPECIAL NOTE: We produced a 22" x 28" version of this image for the Oliver Stone movie, "W". You can order one that size, as well. Just give us a call for pricing!
