Our first impression: this looks like the photo for a movie poster in a film noir, set in pre-WWII West Texas. We came across this remarkable shot in an auction lot of amateur snapshots, snatched it up, and enlarged and enhanced it. Likely taken in the late 1930's or early 1940's, this is one of those images that goes beyond simply evoking and preserving a place and time now passed. This one will draw your eyes over the characters and details again and again...and have you developing your own story lines for what might be going on here.

It's a remarkable find and, we believe, a unique piece of Western art. It's ours exclusively...unconventional, no doubt - and very, very special.
